Lets go toto Big Sur to finally visit Sykes hot springs. Following are some photos of the springs that I have found online. The site is a 10 mile hike into the Ventanna Wilderness. I have never done a hike this long before so I think that this will be a new challenge that I am happy to accept...

My week of hiatus has been much needed. I am back, a little less frazzled. I have seen more thrift stores than I thought I could cram into a week. I also have filled a Volvo with treasures. More pictures to come of new favorite toys. I wanted to share a photo I have stolen of my favorite place I visited...

The Esalen institute is a retreat center on the Big Sur coastline with the nicest Hot mineral springs that I have ever had the pleasure of encountering (sorry Harbin). As a visitor who is not spending hundreds of dollars a day for a retreat or a workshop, your option for a visit is from 1:00 AM till 3:00 am. BE SURE TO MAKE A RESERVATION! I certainly learned this firsthand as they were booked for the next 2 days when I arrived. Once I saw the pools and felt their magical energy, I was convinced. Here's a photo if YOU need any convincing....

Thank you Eric for making our week a wonderful, restorative and enlivening time that I had needed.

Update October 15, 2009- Here is a better photo of the springs at Esalen.
