The card is dated 85 although I am sure that the post card is older. Just look at that font on the cover above...It looks like the titles for a Hitchcock film!

I can not get past this wonderful early computer font on the post mark.

The first time that I came to California, I ate here with my Mother and Sister (and whackadoodle Aunt and Uncle). I picked this post card up because it reminds me of that good memory and also for its Peter Max-like colors and design.

Notice the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics stamp designed by Otl Aicher (more to come on Otl). I like how they describe the hotel as "...one of the new, modern swanky ones- my room is SUMPTUOUS !!..."

I have some inspiration for you all. I want my whole world to be like Patrick Nagel's work. Its amazing. I would kill for those net glasses. Seriously.

Last night I had a wonderful art attack and wrote 4 new sound pieces. I would like to mention the new synth in my basement which really helped inspire this. Just a few weeks ago my roommate Matthew brought home one of the most wonderful instruments that I have had the pleasure of using; the Korg DSS-1. This is a 12 bit sampling workstation with 8 voices and velvety analog filters. If you ever have the opportunity to take one of these home, you will be greatly rewarded.
